Kawhi 和快艇被指控陰陽合約
體育記者 Pablo Torre 在 Podcast 節目中指出，Ballmer曾部分資助一家現已倒閉的植樹公司「Aspiration」，該公司隨後與 Leonard 旗下的 KL2 Aspire LLC 簽署價值 2800 萬美元的合約。
根據 Torre 取得的法律文件，合約條款顯示 Leonard 即使未履行任何工作，仍可獲得報酬，甚至規定若 Leonard 離開快艇，合約將立即失效。一名前 Aspiration員工更直言，此舉是為了「規避薪資上限」。
Torre 同時表示，並未找到任何證據顯示 Leonard 曾替 Aspiration 實際工作。
快艇嚴正否認
快艇及 Ballmer 隨後發表聲明駁斥：「Ballmer 先生與快艇隊從未規避薪資上限，也未涉及任何與 Aspiration 相關的不當行為。任何相反的指控皆為『明顯錯誤』。」

背景與可能後果
NBA 早在 2019 年就曾調查 Leonard 的顧問、「丹尼斯叔叔」Dennis Robertson ，當時針對自由球員招募過程是否涉及違規利益。但聯盟最終未發現快艇提供任何非法好處，Leonard 在同年7月正式加盟快艇。
不過，聯盟也表明，一旦有新證據出現，不排除重啟調查。若快艇真的被認定有規避薪資上限之舉，根據勞資協議，他們可能面臨 最高450萬美元罰款，並可能失去 首輪選秀權。
Leonard 至今 6 度入選全明星，並在 2019 年帶領多倫多暴龍奪下 NBA 總冠軍，如今再陷「陰陽合約」風波，勢必成為外界高度關注的焦點。
