在比賽過程中，J.Brunson 多次向 Scott Foster 抗議，就連賽後也不忘上前繼續討論吹判尺度。賽後，尼克總教練 Mike Brown 表示：「我們當時真的一直在對裁判抱怨、碎念個不停。Rick Brunson（助理教練也是 J.Brunson 父親）做得非常好，他直接叫我閉嘴，也告訴全隊不要再吵了，別一直去找裁判麻煩。這真的很重要，因為當時我們所有人都有點失去理智了。」
