法國足球巨星姆巴佩（ Kylian Mbappé ）近日在訪談節目中，談到最喜歡的網路迷因，表示是一張將自己的臉合成到大陸已故領導人毛澤東臉上的圖片。他透露，平時與朋友在線上玩遊戲時，也會將這張圖片傳到聊天室分享。相關言論曝光後，迅速在中國大陸社群平台引發爭議，一路延燒到代言，包含東鵬特飲與旗下品牌都宣布解約。

姆巴佩先前在訪談節目《The Bridge》中表示，自己最喜歡的迷因圖就是這張，然而隨著輿論延燒，中國飲料品牌東鵬特飲 27 日發布聲明，宣布即日起終止與姆巴佩的所有合作，旗下運動飲料品牌「補水啦」也同步解約。聲明強調，對於傷害民族感情的行為採取零容忍態度。另一方面，蒙牛官方微博也被發現悄悄刪除與姆巴佩相關的內容，不過目前尚未確認是否正式終止雙方合作。

除了品牌採取行動，中國足球媒體《懂球帝》也表示，由於相關言論涉及中國及中國人民的感情，因此決定不翻譯、不刊載該段訪談內容，並呼籲球迷理性看待事件。儘管目前姆巴佩尚未對此事作出回應，但依然讓不少中國球迷相當不滿，更有人要求抵制姆巴佩及他的代言商品，話題持續延燒中。

Wow! Mbappé looks like he’s about to get CANCELLED in China. He reportedly laughed at a meme of himself photoshopped onto Mao Zedong, stupidly calling him a dictator, and so Dongqiudi (懂球帝), one of China’s biggest football news platforms, said he "hurt the feelings of the Chinese people" and they won’t even translate his comments because of how big of an issue this is. He’s huge here as well, he takes money from Chinese people, yet makes fun of them…. so many lucrative sponsorship deals with his face everywhere and on TV.. well it’s all gone now!
