Kanye West 開啟的混沌 “川普愛” 風波替他帶來不少紛爭，說起這件事的源頭，都可打從肯爺自稱自己是 Free Thinker 開始，因為有著不受當前社會的規範、並衷於自我內心的想法存在，Ye 大膽在 twitter 上表示 “We are both dragon energy. He is my brother.”，意謂和川普的感情良好，更 po 出他帶著 MAGA (Make America Great Again) 的帽子確定明顯的政治傾向。當然，這樣子的政治確立相當不受黑人社會採納，也因此許多的嘲諷聲浪油然而生。
帶著這些風波、Ye 日前到了 “TMZ Live” 接受主持人 Harvey Levin 的訪談，想當然的，肯爺在當中惹出了不少話題，其一是在節目中講道 “When you hear about slavery for 400 years. 400 years? That sounds like a choice”，這般爭議性的奴隸言論不斷被外界撻伐；其二就是自爆過去曾因為不堪肥胖去作抽脂手術、而間接沉迷上 Opioid？！(Opioid 為類鴉片藥物，藥效類似嗎啡，主要用途是鎮痛)
就在 2016 年 11 月，肯伊終止了 Saint Pablo tour 巡演，追溯其主要原因，便是 Kanye 不想大家說他胖，他說道 “I didn’t want y’all to call me fat so I got liposuction, right? And they gave me opioids, right? And I started taking two of them and then drive into work on the opioids, right?” 意謂因為不想大眾說他胖、因而進行抽脂手術，術後服用鎮痛藥物才導致藥物成癮，進而無法專心工作。
儘管如此，在 Kanye West 吐露這段往事後，50 cent 仍然在 instagram 上開砲、嘲笑肯爺會去作抽脂的手術。在 po 文中 50 cent 除了提到 “that’s what a bitch do when she want a Fat ass” 意謂對 Ye 的這般行為表示不齒，在後續的流言串也 tag Snoop Dogg 說道 “I ani’t wit that nigga snoop don’t try to put him with him” 更加強不願和 Kanye 為伍的心境。
