潮流本就是「抄來抄去」？OFF-WHITE x IKEA「聯名款」被揭發吐槽！

一名專業的潮人，不僅在服裝上要有絕對品味，就連家中擺設也是審核的考題之一。那麼，除了聯名爆款，最期待的應數明年要發售的 OFF-WHITE x IKEA 吧？如今在 Instagram 上，擁有「時尚警察」之稱的 @diet_prada 再度發表言論，特別是對 OFF-WHITE x IKEA 的聯名動作抱持疑問。@diet_prada 將 20 世紀 50 年代由 Paul McCobb 所設計的椅子，與 OFF-WHITE x IKEA 放在一塊比對，指出在 Virgil Abloh 之前，這把椅子就已經存在。

而各位潮迷可以看圖自行了解一下，無論是靠背、坐位邊緣的角弧度幾乎都一模一樣，只不過差異在椅腿的粗度不同而已。筆者在這邊想問讀者，你認為 Virgil Abloh 是單純創意匱乏嗎？還是只是碰巧撞款？

So @virgilabloh & Henrik Most (a creative leader at IKEA Range and Supply) talked design philosophy last month at a workshop with @ikeatoday …specifically about elevating a chair design for their collab so it “feels more like an art object than a typical chair that serves its functions with four equal legs”. Well, that “typical chair” is actually an icon of mid-century design by Paul McCobb for his Planner Group series. Manufactured by Winchendon Furniture Company, it was among the best selling contemporary furniture lines of the 1950s and in production up until 1964…that is until Virgil decided to relaunch it and elevate it (quite literally) with an added doorstop lol.
